Hidden Sin

This past weekend Pastor Jay brought one of the heaviest messages I have ever heard! Soul shaking is the only way I could describe it. If you missed it, go now to TheRefuge.net and watch it. This word and call to step away from hidden sin will change your entire life. And if your free from hidden sin and walking in the light, this message will remind you of why its important to walk with Jesus in the light and stay away from the dark places.

By the way, I hope you know that I write these late in the week on purpose. Here's the deal:

1. If you go to Church on Sunday and sit there and listen to God's word being delivered and feel moved in the moment but do not ponder on it and chew on it for a while so it can digest and change you through the week ahead. You just tasted God's Word and spit it out like a piece of gum! And that does not bless God's heart, just to let you know.

2. If you love making the statement " I come to Church to get fed" and that's the only time you take in the Word. Grow up! And stop being a baby (babies cannot feed themselves) Feed yourself. God's Word is our daily bread not Sunday only bread. And if that makes you mad then your definitely a baby so stop crying!

Even what Pastor brings to the table on Sunday should be pondered on for a while and lead you through the week. Doing this will only pump up your daily studies and walk with the Lord.

Pastor taught out of Joshua 7

Joshua 7:13 NLT says:
"Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the LORD. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.

We do not have the ability to love God on our own. Even though we were created to love and worship Him.

It is only in response to His great Love for us that we fall in love with Him. And our knowledge and comprehension of the reality of who He is, that soul connection and surrender will determine how much we Love him, worship him and serve him; and to what extent. He commands us to Love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. THAT'S A LOT. And in this scripture God is telling the Israelites to remove hidden sin or they will not defeat their enemies.Which He did. Read on through verse 14 and you can see for yourself...

So we cannot:

-Love Him the way he has commanded with hidden sin in our hearts.

-Defeat our enemies or the battles in our lives with hidden sin in our heart.

-Receive the promise land He has for us and wants to lead us to!

- Operate in the things of God which is Victory

Pastor said it like this: "Hidden sin will cause you to operate out of fear and paranoia"

Do you really want to live the way the Liar, Satan tells you to?

He comes at you to steal, kill, and destroy You. Yes YOU!

And He uses hidden sin to take out God's people.
